How do you start a one-way virtual interview process?

The first step to any successful one-way virtual interview is writing a job description to understand what is required in the role.

To do this, a conversation is needed with subject matter experts that understand the requirements of the role.

From there, an interview guide can be built with questions that cover all the areas mentioned in the job description.

For example, if an organisation is hiring an operational manager, your interview guide will include questions around the role’s minimum requirements, such as knowledge and experience, as well as competency-based questions linked to the behaviours required to be successful in the role.

Competency-based questions such as the ability to work in teams and how a candidate would handle conflict situations within their teams.

Once the interview guide has been completed, a link is sent to candidates to complete a one-way video interview for the company to review and make a hire.
