Innovation City Cape Town is a hub for digital innovation in South Africa, bringing together a community of start-ups, scale-ups, entrepreneurs, and innovators to foster co-creation and accelerate Cape Town’s digital ambitions.
As part of its efforts to showcase exceptional promise and support disruptive innovation, Innovation City held its annual Tech Startup of the Year 2023 competition, receiving over 100 applications from dynamic and diverse tech startups. The selection process focused on identifying top contenders based on their innovation, potential for growth, and impact on their respective industries.
The finalists include Amnova, Autoscriber, Data Convergence, EngageMx, Franc, Happy Pay, Momint, Streams Pay, Strove, and Wamly.
On April 13th, the finalists of Innovation City’s Tech Startup of the Year 2023 competition gathered in Cape Town to deliver their 3-minute pitches to a panel of proven entrepreneurs. After careful consideration and evaluation, the judges announced their decision on the evening of Thursday, April 20th, 2022:
